G K & N Services announces new contract with GAP

G K & N Services is proud to have won a prestigious contract to supply GAP Hire Solutions with 23 tankers to be used to service the Welfare Units (also known as portable toilets) supplied by GAP’s brand new Welfare Services division.

G K & N’s trading partnership with GAP began in October 2015 when they received an order for 6 demountable 7.5 ton Welfare Tankers from the organisation.

The team at G K & N got to work to manufacture the tankers and these were completed and delivered within 3 months to coincide with the launch of GAP’s new catalogue in December 2015.

GAP’s procurement team was so pleased with G K & N’s service and product quality that it immediately awarded the company the contract to supply more Welfare Tankers. A further 14 x 7.5 ton tankers have been ordered and are due for delivery by the end of the year.

In addition to the 20 x 7.5 ton tankers GAP also ordered a further 3 Welfare Tankers – this time the much larger 26 ton version. Two of these have already been delivered and the other is due for despatch shortly.

The Welfare Tankers will be used to empty and clean the Welfare Units, which are hired out by GAP to make life more comfortable for people who work on large sites, or attend events and festivals, and serviced on a weekly basis.

Both G K & N and GAP Hire Solutions are accredited members of PSE (Portable Sanitation Europe Ltd) which means they must comply with current UK and European legislation and PSE’s strict code of practice on sanitation, Health & Safety, environmental issues and vehicle safety and licensing requirements. This ensures the delivery of professional and high quality sanitation solutions for events and sites nationwide.
